Congratulations on joining the elite group of traders and investors who are part of the Skousen Hot Commodities Alert. I trust you’ll find it an exciting and highly profitable experience.

Before we get started, let me remind you of a few key points:

1. Successful trading requires us to be nimble. And our profits will often come quickly. That means we trade fairly frequently. But just because we’re making big profits doesn’t mean your broker should be too. As a card-carrying Scrooge Investor, I strongly suggest that you use a discount broker and, preferably, a deep-discount or online broker for this service.

Low-cost, online brokers include:

Charles Schwab at www.schwab.com (866/855-6770)
E-Trade at www.Etrade.com (800/387-2331 or 916/636-2510)
Brown & Co. at www.Brownco.com (800/822-2021 or 813/584-3792).

2. On every trade, I will recommend a sell stop to protect your profits and your capital. In every case you need to abide by the stops. They are essential to our success. Protecting your profits and your capital is the key to being a profitable trader. Entering a sell stop (good until cancelled) with your broker will assure you that your profits are protected, even when you’re not watching the market.

3. If you’re new to trading, don’t worry. I’ll give you all the information you need. Once you receive my recommendation, promptly contact your broker and read the instructions. (Or enter your order online.) Once your buy order is executed, go ahead and enter a sell stop immediately.

4. Also, you’ll notice that I regularly mention potential option trades for speculators. Option trades are inherently more risky than stock trades. That’s why I recommend them for experienced speculators only. In short, the stock trades offer plenty of upside potential. The options are intended for more aggressive traders who are willing to accept more risk in order to take their profits to the next level.
